Repair Work In Whangarei - Dec/Jan 2010

  In Whangarei, New Zealand we are having 'Julia Max' worked on:  new teak decks, new paint job topsides and bottom, repairs on the furler, anchor windlass, and rejuvenation of the refrigeration insulation.  The rigging had repairs, replacing the forestay, the port main cap, and the starboard main forward lower.  In addition ten of the twenty turnbuckles were found to have cracks.  So when she is back in the water in February, she will be in top shape.

Ready for paint work, teak deck work, and other projects.

Paint preparation complete: ten days of sanding and fairing, and leak proofing.

Anchor windlass reworked.

Teak deck work finished

Teak work on cockpit hatch and stern finished.

New anti-fouling paint applied to the propellor.

Work completed February 4th.
