Puerto Vallarta Christmas

The Christmas holidays in Puerto Vallarta lacked family festivities.  But we enjoyed our time with cruising friends -- our second family.  Christmas Eve was on Dream Chaser.  Christmas Dinner was in La Cruz at Philo's Restaurant which is owned by a past South Pacific cruiser.

Christmas Eve was spent on Dream Chaser with Mike, Kay, and their daughter Hillary from FinisTerre (SF). Kay's painting is on our wall beside her.

Three local young musicians entertained us with La Bomba!

The potluck dishes from the cruising boats were varied and scrumptous. The dessert table had a killer pecan pie.

Chow down time for George.

Chow down time for Sue.

Jim and Kay from Transcendence took in the festivities.

Rob and Linda from Cat'n About (Whidbey Island) chow down at the Christmas dinner at Philo's.

Philo's Restaurant had a rock, pop, folk group with Philo as the lead guitar and singer. Here the banjo player doubles on his wash board.

Guadelupe Cathedral oversees the old downtown section ot PV.

Tatoosh is one of Paul Allen's three mega yachts. At 300', there is a sailboat, motor cruiser, and helicopter. She is 12th largest in the world.

The Pirate Ship has daily tours on Banderas Bay, and fires its cannons at 2100 hours. PV was constantly under attack.
