The face lift, repairs, and preparation for another 25 years is underway on
Julia Max in Opequimar Boatyard in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Julia Max entered the yard for a make-over!

Teak removed on the side decks was ready for grinding.

Side decks were sanded and gel coated, filling fastener holes.
|
|

Top masked off was receiving primer coats, sandings, ding repairs, and more painting. The first gel coat was on the side decks.

Topsides received their first final coat. She was glistening already!

Drill holes in the skinned fiberglass weeped an acid residue. The hull was wet, but not from water.

Skeg support to bottom of rudder was decayed, and needed fiberglass repair, and bracket clean-up.
