Isla Isabela is 90 miles south of Mazatlan on the way to Puerto Vallarta.
This volcanic island is a national bird sanctuary for Mexico. Resident birds
include Blue-footed Boobies, Brown Boobies, Magnificent Frigates, Heerman Gulls,
Brown Pelicans, and a special surprise sighting of Red-Legged Stilts in the
fresh water crater lake on the island.
