Arches National Park - 08/30/05

Arches National Park in SE Utah was a definite favorite for us.  We stayed in Moab while visiting the Park.

The '3 Gossips' overlooked those driving through the Park.

'Balanced Rock' is the size of 16 cars. How much longer do you think it will stand?

Sue is at the base of 'Delicate Arch'.

A ranger tour through the Fiery Furnace was a highlite.

Sue enjoyed this hands-on trail in the Fiery Furnace.

The Fiery Furnace shows how the sandstone fins are eroding from water seepage.

'Landscape Arch' is 306' wide, and only 6' thick at its narrowest point!

This bush called 'Mormon Tea' was prolific.

The sandstone erosion can be beautifully intricate.

'The Windows' were easily accessible where others were a longer hike.
